We bring growing companies and emerging professionals together to get mission-critical work done

Lantern Point Labs (LPL) is a Connecticut-based 501(c)(3) and business services company that hires students and recent graduates, trains them as Associates and pairs them with experienced industry advisors. Together they develop and manage mission-critical projects for growing companies and organizations.

Why we started Lantern Point Labs

Lantern Point Labs grew out of the Fairfield University startup program, where our founder, Christian O'Rourke, saw a gap. Three communities each needed something the others could give.

Business owners and growing companies needed help with execution, and their most important projects kept slipping. Talented students and recent graduates needed real experience to stand out in a tough job market. And experienced advisors and community members were eager to give back in a way that respected their time.

We built LPL to bring them together around real work: companies get their projects done, Associates gain real experience, and advisors pass on what they know. Since 2024, that has meant 13 client engagements delivered by 50 Associates from 15 universities, guided by industry advisors from across our community.

When a company grows, an Associate starts a career and an advisor passes on what decades of work taught them, the whole community gains. We shape how these groups meet and work together, through client projects, our events and the introductions that follow, so each success opens the door to the next.
